Final Assignments.

I've wrapped up the final assignments and I'm happy that I have something I can take into the 20/21 school year. I'me hoping to encourage others to use "Sites" to enhance their remote education. Below are links to files and the site I've created.

Assignments 4 and 5

I am almost done with the final two assignments. 

I've connected these assignments because I am using my lesson from assignment 5 to support my argument in assignment 4. 

Since my school district already uses a number of GSuite tools, I am arguing that teachers should be encouraged to create their own google site to use to enhance the learning experience. I've created a site of my own to use with my lesson. I will use this as an example of how a website can enhance the experience and encourage independent learning.  

I'm just about done with my slideshow and website. This has been the most valuable experience from this course thus far.  

Assignment 3 "Why GSuite"

In my research on GSuite and the educational process, I found much support for the collaborative and communicative qualities of the online educational tools. There is a lot of uncertainty about the upcoming school year but I'm confident that there will be a major online component and teachers and students should be prepared for such. Continued Research

I've continued my research and have been about to find some scholarly articles on the topic. I am having a difficult time finding research on student achievement but I will continue. So far, I've found many opinions that I share. 

Researching GSuite benefits

I have been researching the benefits of GSuite and online learning tools. I am finding it difficult to find reputable articles that are not directly affiliated with Google. I'm moving my research focus to educators who actually use Gsuite educational tools so I can find unbiased (hopefully) opinions. I have begun composing my responce to "Why GSuite" here.

This is still a draft and I will update my Blog with the final draft.

I finished up Assignment two and started Assignment three today. The only app I was unaware of was Google Keep. I'll have to give it a try and find out what sets it apart from Google docs. I am keeping my eye on the reopening plan for schools as the Covid19 pandemic does not seem to be going anywhere soon. I'm trying to learn all I can about these digital tools so I can help my students navigate some kind of blended learning model upon reentry. Lin to assignment 2 here.

06-29-2020 EDUO 9150

Today I've started on the assignments for EDUO 9150. I wish that I had a fuctioning printer as I prefer a paper copy of most things but I'm getting use to going all (or mostly) digital. My goal for today is to complete the first two assignments and plan out the rest of the activities. I'm looking forward to gaining some useful knowledge that I can take with me into the 2020/2021 school year.
